La loi du 28 décembre 2007 a imposé une mise en place progressive de l'accessibilité numérique des sites Internet pour certaines entreprises privées avant le 31 décembre 2008. Cette mise en conformité pour l'accessibilité des sites sera obligatoire pour toutes les entreprises de taille importante, qui compte plus de 100 salariés ou qui totalisent un chiffre d'affaires annuel de plus de 6 millions d'euros, soient : les services de communication électronique au public, les services financiers, les services de fourniture d'eau, gaz et électricité, les agences de voyages, les services de transport.
